Firstly, I wrote a whole another kind of piece for this week. I had the idea, I stared writing it, collected all the images and sources, gave it a title, … But then I scrapped the whole thing. What I wanted to say with this is that with writing, I seriously never know where it is going. If I know, then the piece is guranteed to not be as great as it could be if I let my mind and hands lose control over the steering wheel.
Like you, I need to sit on the things I've collected: screenshots, written material, the ideas in my head. I get the main ideas out on my Notes app; sometimes I get the urge to write a first draft and edit eons later. Some days I think it needs structure, other times I just let it be. My creative practice is both scattered and organised.
